David brings with him an extensive background in planning, land development, and community engagement, with a proven track record of promoting sustainable economic growth in Manatee County. His professional experience includes serving as the Downtown Development Director for the City of Bradenton, Community Planning Administrator for Manatee County Government, and Director of Land Development for the nation's largest privately-owned development company.
David's expertise is reflected in several high-profile projects, including the Bradenton Riverwalk, the historic renovation of the Bradenton Hampton Inn, and the 2017 World Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park, among others.
Over the course of his career, David has held leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. His experience includes:
• Project Manager at ZNS Civil Engineering
• Director of Land Development at Benderson Development, where he led national acquisitions totaling over 5 million square feet of commercial, hotel, and retail properties
• Project Manager at Port Manatee, overseeing more than $30 million in berth improvement projects
David is widely recognized as a passionate community advocate, bringing valuable insight into business development, property acquisition, site design, redevelopment, and public relations.
