Sarasota events

It's winter on the Gulf Coast, but life in Sarasota and Bradenton doesn't slow down when the temperature drops. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

Winter just might be our real estate agents' favorite season in Florida. With milder weather, it brings ample opportunities to explore everything the Sarasota area has to offer, like these exciting upcoming festivals and events.

  • After Hours at the Bazaar - 821 Apricot Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237
The Bazaar on Apricot and Lime is a beloved local market where around 40 local vendors and creatives display and sell their unique handmade goods. Once a month, it stays open late for After Hours at The Bazaar, allowing visitors to meet the artists and enjoy a delicious meal and live music. The Bazaar is also open for shopping every Thursday through Saturday, and it's just minutes from many Sarasota homes for sale

  • Sharktoberfest - 1600 Ken Thompson Pkwy, Sarasota, FL 34236
If you've ever wanted to explore an aquarium after hours, perhaps with a frothy beverage in hand, then you're in luck. Sharktoberfest returns to the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium from 7 to 10 pm on January 18 this year, highlighting not only the aquarium's fascinating exhibits and important research but also the fine products offered by several local craft breweries. There will also be plenty of food and live entertainment.

  • Forks & Corks Festival - 5401 Bay Shore Rd, Sarasota, FL 34243
Foodies and wine aficionados can agree that one of the most anticipated annual events in Sarasota is the Forks & Corks Festival. Spanning an entire week from January 20 to 27, this festival brings together exceptional chefs and winemakers to host and participate in wine dinners, auctions, tastings, and master classes. It all culminates in the Grand Tasting on January 26, where dozens of local restaurants and hundreds of winemakers will offer a chance to savor their finest offerings at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art.

  • Cherie at St. Armands Circle Art Festival - 300 Madison Dr, Sarasota, FL 34236
Sarasota has long been home to a thriving art scene. A tremendous variety of artwork by local, regional, and national artists will be on display at this year's Cherie at St. Armands Circle Art Festival. Hundreds of artists will set up booths inside St. Armands Circle, a roundabout surrounded by boutiques and restaurants. The event takes place from 10 am to 5 pm on January 25 and 26, and it's free to the general public.

  • Downtown Bradenton Public Market - 400 12th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205
There's always something fun and exciting waiting to be discovered at the Downtown Bradenton Public Market. This bustling open-air market in the heart of Bradenton's Old Main Street is a great place to explore on any given Saturday. Vendors offer everything from arts and crafts to local produce and handmade foods. A stone's throw from these Bradenton homes for sale, the Public Market runs from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturdays from October to May.

  • Bradenton Gulf Islands Concert Series - 407 Magnolia Ave, Anna Maria, FL 34216
The Bradenton Gulf Islands Concert Series brings outstanding live music to the Bradenton area every winter and spring. These monthly concerts typically run from December through April and take place at The Center of Anna Maria Island, a beautiful outdoor venue. This year's series continues with the Wailers on January 11, followed by Robby Krieger of the Doors on February 8.
