Sarasota Boats

The Sarasota and Bradenton areas get a lot of credit for their pristine, white-sand beaches. But our area is also one of the best boating destinations in Florida. Whether you're looking to launch a speed boat, fishing boat, sailboat, or kayak, our real estate agents are eager to share their favorite boat launch sites in the Sarasota County area.

  • Centennial Park - 1059 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236
With a three-lane boat ramp and ample parking, Centennial Park is a prime boat launch site on Sarasota Bay. The park is minutes from Downtown Sarasota and convenient to countless Sarasota homes for sale and also offers courtesy docks, fishing access, and picnic tables. Centennial Park is dog-friendly and also includes a hand-launch for canoes and kayaks.

  • Ken Thompson Park - 1700 Ken Thompson Pkwy, Sarasota, FL 34236
One of Sarasota's most popular waterfront parks, Ken Thompson Park is located on Lido Key, which is connected to the mainland via the John Ringling Causeway. It's a beautiful spot to put a boat in the water on Sarasota Bay. In addition to a large, multi-lane launch facility, the park also provides a fishing pier, kayak launch, and spacious waterfront picnic area with tables and pavilions.

  • Indian Mound Park - 210 Winson Ave, Englewood, FL 34223
Named for its ancient Native American archeological site, Indian Mound Park offers an excellent boat launch facility overlooking Lemon Bay. The bay itself is a designated aquatic preserve, making this a prime area for fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and wildlife photography. The park is located about 45 minutes south of Sarasota and is a stone's throw from these Englewood homes for sale

  • Higel Marine Park - 1330 Tarpon Center Dr, Venice, FL 34285
Offering a modest single-lane boat ramp, Higel Marine Park is an excellent public boat launch site in Venice on the Intracoastal Waterway. The ramp is just a short boat ride from Venice Inlet, which leads to the wide-open waters of the Gulf. You'll find plenty of beautiful Venice homes for sale near Higel Marine Park as well.

  • Kingfish Boat Ramp - 752 Manatee Ave, Holmes Beach, FL 34217
Holmes Beach, located just north of Sarasota, also offers several great public launch sites, and the Kingfish Boat Ramp is a local favorite. There's always plenty to do around Holmes Beach homes for sale, and if you're looking for a ramp right near the beach, this is the perfect place to get out on the water. This is also a popular spot for picnics and beach walks.

  • Snook Haven Park Boat Ramp - 4076 E Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34292
Snook Haven Park is a beautiful launch site on the Myakka River in Venice. It's an ideal spot to start a river adventure, and it tends to be a little more off the beaten path compared to coastal launch sites. A canoe/kayak launch is available, along with a separate boat ramp for larger craft. Snook Haven Park also offers kayak rentals and a riverside restaurant known for its awesome BBQ.

  • Warner's Bayou Boat Ramp - 5800 Riverview Blvd, Bradenton, FL 34209
This popular Bradenton boat launch site is located near the mouth of the Manatee River, a broad, slow-rolling tributary that feeds Tampa Bay. Offering three boat lanes, the Warner's Bayou Boat Ramp is an especially popular place to launch for fishing trips, and several local charter services use this site on a regular basis. Plus, this ramp is just a short drive from many Bradenton homes for sale
