Bradenton, FL June 6th - A very attentive group of Wagner Realty agents listened as Austin Boyd, President of Boyd Insurance and Investment presented a timely update on the state of Florida insurance. The event took place on June 6th at the Bradenton Country Club.  With an unprecedented number of home insurance companies that have left Florida or went out of business in 2022, agents and homeowners have been struggling to find home insurance policies. "Hurricane Ian caused further instability in the insurance market, with record numbers of homeowners looking to last-resort insurer Citizens," said Austin. Deb Merrick, Personal Insurance Advisor and Russ Dozeman, Commercial Insurance Advisor presented timely information on the challenges that real estate agents face and how to prepare and educate home buyers and sellers to navigate through the process.

Elliott Falcione, Executive Director of the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) provided current data on the increase of visitors to the area, and how the County, including the expansion project at the Bradenton- Sarasota International Airport that will handle the influx to the area. Mr. Falcione spoke about the upcoming water taxi service between Bradenton and Anna Maria Island and how it may alleviate some of the traffic to and from the island.
