Sarasota Beaches

What's the best part about living in Florida? Every day is a beach day! Our real estate agents love living so close to the shore. From splashing in the waves in the summer to enjoying the warm sun on winter beach walks, we love calling the Gulf Coast home. If you're ready to get your toes in the sand, we suggest you check out these five beaches in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

  1. The "Best" Beach: Siesta Beach — 948 Beach Rd., Sarasota, FL 34242
You don't need to venture far from your front door to hit one of the best beaches in the United States. Ranked #1 and in the top-ten of many local, regional, national, and international lists, Siesta Key Beach will never disappoint. The powdered quartz sand isn't the only draw to this sun-kissed shore. Siesta Key Village has plenty to eat, explore, and entertain you all day long.

  2. The Lowkey Beach: Longboat Key Beach — 2825 Gulf of Mexico Dr., Longboat Key, FL 34228
Longboat Key is an excellent beach that's beloved by locals and visitors alike. What makes it so lowkey? It's located near Longboat Key homes for sale. Those that live close have no trouble walking or biking to the shore. If you're arriving on four-wheels, however, you'll encounter limited parking. This helps keep the beach free of crowds, which is ideal if you're a local looking to leave the bustling tourist beaches behind.

  3. The Local Beach: Venice Beach — 101 The Esplanade N., Venice, FL 34285
A family-friendly beach sits right along the shores of the Shark Tooth Capital of the World in Venice. Venice Beach is a local spot for those who want to enjoy the sun, sand, salt, and surf. It's not just people you'll see playing at this beach; dolphins frequently splash in the waters close to shore. If you're interested in diving, there's a coral reef only a quarter-mile offshore to explore or drive by these Venice homes for sale.

  4. The Busy Beach: Coquina Beach —1437 Gulf Dr. S., Bradenton Beach, FL 34217
Located on stunning Anna Maria Island, Coquina Beach is open from sunrise to midnight. You can easily fill all of those hours with on-site activities like their paved multi-purpose trail, children's playground, sand volleyball court, games tables, and of course, a whole lot of tanning. The wide beachfront brings in droves of people, including those who just want to enjoy a seaside meal at the Coquina Café. There's even a biweekly market during the low-season months.

  5. The Nature Beach: Turtle Beach — 8918 Midnight Pass Rd., Sarasota, FL 34242
While Siesta Beach gets all the attention, you'll find a quieter retreat a little farther south on Turtle Beach. This is a fantastic place for nature lovers as a nearly empty expanse of sand dunes where you can watch seabirds, sharks, fish, and even tortoises stroll by. There's also a boat launch, though you can rent kayaks or paddleboards if you don't have your own watercraft.

Looking for a home within walking distance to the beach? We've got Sarasota homes for sale that you've got to see. Perhaps you'd prefer something a little closer inland? Then check out our Bradenton homes for sale. Contact us today to schedule tours for our best homes in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
