The Kumon franchise has specific franchisee vetting requirements for purchasing the Kumon of Inverness location that must be met: (1) A bachelor's degree or higher. If received outside of the US, it must be equivalent to a BA in the US. (2) US citizenship or permanent residency w/ green card (no visas or EADs). (3) Part-time commitment of 20 hrs per week, with two 4hr classes on separate days (currently Tues & Thurs, 2-6 pm). (4) Permission to hold another job as long as they are able to complete the record hours as approved by Kumon. (5) Financial ability to purchase the center at the agreed upon price, plus any add'l funds required by Kumon, the landlord, any legal fees etc. Liquidity requirements will be verified. (6) Proficiency in math & reading (two assessments are part of the recruitment process). There is also a very detailed & comprehensive training session that also must be completed before taking over the center & add'l training after the franchise takeover is completed.
